Wildlife Photography
Wildlife Photography has been my main focus over the last 2 months, concentrating on shorebirds here in North Wales. In the coming weeks I will visit Caerlaverock in Scotland to photograph Barnacle geese and Whooper swans. The Natural World programme ‘Iron Curtain-Green Belt’, on which I was wildlife cameraman,has just been edited and will be shown on BBC TV in the autumn.
An Exhibition of Photographs at The Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust
An exhibition of photographs of mainly wetland birds, many of which were taken at WWT Reserves. Subjects will include Bewicks Swans, Whooper Swans and Brent Geese. Some Alaskan species included could be Bald Eagles, Western Sandpipers, Harlequin Ducks Trumpeter Swans and American Widgeon. Come and see for yourself, the exhibition runs from 18th Aug-31st Oct.

Recent Trip to Ouse Washes to photograph Swans
Photographing Bewick's Swans is something I have wanted to do all this winter, but due to the endless wet or windy conditions I have just not had a chance until now. Everything comes to he who waits; is certainly no more true than in photography!! so it was when conditions improved dramatically on the 15th Feb to frosty nights with clear blue sky days, a little early morning fog for good...
Upcoming Film Trips
In Mid April I will be filming Great Bustards in Hungary, for a programme in BBC 2’s Natural World series. I will be looking to capture the bizarre displays of these impressive birds. It will entail digging pits with sunken hides in the very large fields in which the birds feed and display, I need to be within 100 metres of them to get close ups.
